If you are getting married, getting ready to celebrate a life with a name giving, coming of age, acheivment ritual or other meaningful ceremony to mark an important point, congratulations! You are on your way to experiencing something that, when done well, will resound naturally inside you and your people for all the days to come. Your first step is to contact your celebrant (6 - 18 months ahead preferably!) and, if you are happy with their passion and enthusiasm for the opportunity to create with you, pay a deposit and book your date and time.
Our basic fee includes our original studio bookwork, all legal paperwork, a rehearsal and travel within the local areas. There are many things to consider when a ceremony has been decided upon. How many people will there be? Will a PA be necessary or will this impinge? Will we have others reading as well as or instead of the officiant? What sort of formality or simplicity are we trying to achieve? What readings would suit and how many should we have? Are their any more visual possibilities to increase the entertainment value? How can we involve our children properly? Should our parents be recognised officially? When should we play music and for how long? When should we serve drinks?
That's just to get started! But the list is much, much longer.
